Dear Twisted Oaks Golfers,
Summer is behind us, and it is time to prepare the golf course for the fall and winter seasons. We will begin overseeding the golf course on Monday, October 14th. The first week will be spent on the fairways. The following week, we will complete the process by overseeding the tees, collars, approaches, and greens. Establishing seed requires short, frequent watering cycles. We will do our best to minimize disruption to play as much as possible. Please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience.
Additionally, while establishing the fairway overseed, it will be mandatory for golf carts to remain on the path or in the rough. This restriction is typically lifted after 10 days.
This past year has seen major increases in the costs of chemicals, fertilizer, fuel, insurance, utilities, and labor—everything necessary to maintain our golf course in the condition that has earned us Citrus County’s Best of the Best recognition for the past seven years. Our mission has always been to ensure players are proud to say, “I play at Twisted Oaks.” For the most part, I believe we have accomplished that.
To continue providing the quality you’ve come to expect from Twisted Oaks, we will be implementing a fee increase. Beginning November 1st, greens fees and dues will increase by approximately 5%.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Twisted Oaks Golf Club.
Sincerely,
Tommy Lyman
