Attention Twisted Oaks Golfers,
We will be receiving a shipment of new carts on Monday, April 20th.
They will be equipped with the EZ Go Pace system. This system will allow us to monitor the golf course in many ways. Pace is loaded with features to increase your enjoyment of your round of golf. Examples are;
• 2-Way communication for emergencies
• Lost clubs
• Gentle reminders about pace of play
Music pairing
Weather radar
• Food & Beverage ordering
• Geofencing for controlling access to fairways
• Graphic hole displays with accurate yardages, hole locations and no go zones for golf carts will be available on all golf carts.
We (staff and players) will go through a learning process as the system is implemented. The golf course will be marked and visible on the cart display as to where golf cart traffic is allowed. If a cart crosses into a no-go zone, a reminder will be sent to the screen, and the player will be instructed to return (in reverse). The forward movement of the cart will be disabled. The “Geo Fence” will be marked so that carts must remain on a cart path when one is available. After you leave the tee, you are pretty much free to move around as you please. Once you approach the green, you will be directed back to the path, where you will remain until you get past the next tee.
This is not new technology, just new to us. Courses that have implemented it report better pace and far improved turf conditions, both of which will contribute to the enjoyment of your round.
