Course Maintenance Begins: Overseeding

A Message For You: 

Dear Twisted Oaks Golfers,

Previously, you were notified of our decision to suspend overseeding fairways this year in an effort to implement a better weed control program. Overseeding of the greens, tees, approaches and collars will begin on Monday, October 23rd. Establishing seed requires short, frequent watering cycles, and we will do our best to avoid play as much as possible. Please accept our apology in advance for any inconvenience. Since we are not overseeding fairways this year the normal practice of restricting carts to paths and roughs for two weeks will not be necessary. However, we will be seeding around the greens complexes so please return your carts to the path 30 yards before your approach to the green. Abuse of this request may result in suspended playing privileges.

Once again, we have seen major price increases in most everything (chemicals, fuel, insurance, utilities, and labor) necessary to keep the golf course in the condition that warrants the Best of the Best recognition we have received these past six years. Our Vision for Twisted Oaks – Quality Golf at an Affordable Price – remains our number 1 priority. To continue to provide the product you have come to expect from Twisted Oaks will require an increase in our fees. By November 1st greens fees and dues will be increased by approximately 5%.
